9/7/2016 update: I wrote this around the time when I felt like a part of me was withdrawing from taking responsibility for my own choices. A part of me saw my shifting to philosophy as a way of running away from computer science. It turned out that majoring in philosophy was just as difficult if not more difficult than majoring in computer science. I had to think of philosophy as something that delivered me from a world where I didn't belong. My passion and strengths were better suited for philosophy.
